The Animated Man: A Life of Walt Disney is a must read if it hasn’t already been read. This is for all those who need creative inspiration. I can remember reading an old Walt Disney biography as a child and writing one of my first papers on the man. His ideas and creative thinking definitely influenced the way I view the world and the approach I take when being creative. Be creative, think like Walt!

Project501 Complete

Here are 2 quick snap shots from the latest project I completed. Project was created using flash cs5 which I exported to a QuickTime movie format. Exporting this project was a major pain due to a few simple settings I hadn’t taken into account for. I will post my recommended export process and settings on a later post which should help some users out there.

So just about everyone in this day and age conceals a capture device of some sort which resides for the most part in your pocket and is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. Also this device is usually on you at all times which makes its a powerful tool to capture unique photos at any moment in time. Mobile photography and street photography have really started to take off with great high quality cameras that are built into most new mobile devices.

Spring Time is here – Bring on the Design Work!

Finished the UWF project and now onto a few new things. Still seeking more work so if you need help with creative ideas shoot me a message.

Currently – developing a new logo for a pacific northwest womens basketball team which will be used on the web and other collateral as well as researching the current standards for mass emailing. A lot has change since I last looked into mailers…. wow.

Adobe Lightroom 3 – first impressions

I just recently moved to Adobe Lightroom 3 for my photo processing and editing. I have not been able to spend a great deal of time working in the new application but from a glance I noticed a few improvements that I liked. The import feature has been drastically changed/upgraded from previous versions. In a nutshell the user has much higher abilities to setup metadata, filters, filenames, file paths in the exact way you want. Overall the performance of the application was more responsive and functions well. After I spend some more time with using the application I will write up a better review of the product with some screen shots and walkthroughs.
